First fully electric asphalt set for Dura Vermeer!

Clean and emission-free construction is the future! Dura Vermeer has now taken a big step in that direction. Starting this month, they have a fully electric small asphalt set at their disposal. Built by Green Road Equipment (GRE) in cooperation with Motrac Industries. We were responsible for the feasibility study in terms of power flows. Furthermore, our engineers developed the electric powertrain, assembled it as a custom set and delivered the complete package.

Emission-free asphalting with the new electric asphalt set

In terms of equipment, Dura Vermeer immediately opted to electrify a complete asphalt set. This enables them to lay asphalt on infrastructure projects completely emission-free. The electric asphalt set consists of; an electric asphalt machine (based on a Vögele 800), an electric 1.00 meter roller, an electric 1.20 meter roller, an electric mini shovel and an electric sticking truck. This is how they show that emission-free work really can be done! What an honor that Motrac Industries could help with the electric drive of the asphalt machine, two asphalt rollers and bitumen pump of the sticking truck.

Conversion from diesel to electric powered equipment

Rollers and asphalt machines in the construction industry are currently largely powered by diesel engines. GRE is the forerunner in the circular conversion of these machines to emission-free electric equipment. As much as possible with reusable parts according to the 'Cradle to Cradle' principle. With the aim of sustainable and emission-free road construction. As a specialist in electric drive technology, Motrac Industries fits in seamlessly. We are proud of this cooperation and already busy with several follow-up projects. On to full electric road construction in the future!
