New Trilo TX Vacuum Container equipped with hydraulic drive

Motrac Industries recently completed an innovative project for Trilo: the development of the latest generation of the Trilo TX Vacuum Container, now fully equipped with a hydraulic drive. This powerful machine is used to collect leaves and event waste and represents a significant step forward in terms of durability, efficiency and ease of use.

Hydraulic drive: quieter, more efficient, and more precise

The most striking difference from previous models is the transition from a mechanical to a hydraulic fan drive, implemented as a closed loop system. This change brings a range of benefits. By using a closed loop system, control over the fan speed and thus the machine’s suction power is infinitely variable. This ensures that the diesel engine operates within the most efficient possible speed range.

In addition, the hydraulic drive offers much more controlled and precise operation of the suction nozzle. Start up is smoother, and operators can fine tune the system with extreme precision. This approach also offers advantages in terms of installation, as the engine is now mounted longitudinally. As a result, the machine is more compact and easier to maintain.

Co-engineering as a key to succes

Trilo deliberately chose to collaborate closely with specialized partners to take this project to the next level. Thanks to this co-engineering approach, they can continue to focus on their core business: designing and building high-quality machines for landscape maintenance and professional cleaning.

In this project, Motrac Industries was responsible for the complete engineering of the hydraulic powertrain, component selection, and subassembly. In addition, Trilo’s technicians were invited to attend an extensive technical hydraulics training course to ensure optimal maintenance of the machine.

Benefits that make a difference

The new Trilo TX Vacuum Container is being manufactured according to a tight schedule. That is why Motrac Industries delivers the complete hydraulic powertrain on a just-in-time basis. Everything is delivered fully plug-and-play and, thanks to the short lead times, fits perfectly into Trilo’s production schedule. By adapting the design for mass production, Trilo can scale up quickly while maintaining flexibility. The base version can be easily expanded with various modules that meet a wide range of customer needs. The machine also utilizes remote monitoring, ensuring that maintenance remains predictable and updates can be performed remotely.

Trilo collaboration

Matthijs Kruithof and Marcel Groen from Trilo were responsible for this project. Both look back on the collaboration and the end result with great satisfaction.

“The collaboration with Motrac enabled us to innovate faster without compromising on quality. Their expertise in hydraulics has ensured that the new TX represents a major step forward,” says Matthijs Kruithof.

“Thanks to the joint engineering process, we’ve created a solution that’s not only technically robust but also fits perfectly with our production process,” adds Marcel Groen.

From theory to practice

The new TX Vacuum Container was successfully tested during the Site Acceptance Test (SAT). The hydraulic drive responds exactly as intended, and the controls feel immediately intuitive. This marks a significant step forward in the collaboration between Trilo and Motrac Industries. Both parties look forward to the further innovations that this joint approach will yield in the future.
