Thorough overhaul Heart Breaker fairground attraction
Drive technology is found everywhere where power and precision are necessary. This makes sense for construction machinery and ships, but of course also for fairground attractions. For years Motrac Industries has been allowed to maintain the hydraulic technology and software control of the Heart Breaker. This year it was time for a thorough overhaul, so that this fairground attraction will be a unique experience for many children and adults in the years to come.
Technical maintenance from A to Z
The Heart Breaker is an impressive 'Wipp' 8 meters high and 15 meters wide with a gondola for 18 people. For minor maintenance, it is set up outside in our parking lot so that our mechanics can get to work on it quickly. Now, however, a thorough service was scheduled and the attraction was set up in our workshop. There, all hydraulic components, oil and control technology were checked. The usual wear parts were replaced and new plain bearings were needed for the main shafts and the nacelle. The control board also received a software update and the required parameters were set precisely again.
Official approval and testing
Then everything was assembled and the most fun part came ... testing! Suddenly, all colleagues came to look at this project. To then take a test drive in the Heart Breaker. Eventually everything was approved by the TÜV and made ready to be used again this fair season. So are you going to a fair near you soon?
