Hydraulic steering machine

The steering machine is a complex system that allows the helmsman to precisely control the course of the boat. This accuracy is especially important for fast-moving boats where direction and stability is crucial. The combination of mechanical and hydraulic systems, along with electronic feedback, makes it possible to maneuver quickly and safely.

More about this project

The steering machine consists of a main steering gear and an emergency steering gear. The main steering gear usually controls the rudder and the main pump, which is driven by the main engine and draws oil from its own compartment. The emergency steering gear, which is also part of this system, also has its own compartment and is driven by a 24VDC emergency pump. If the main system fails, steering can always be done with the emergency system.

All systems were first completely assembled in our workshop. Then, according to IVR guidelines and the customer's wishes, we put everything into operation on the vessel. As a certified inspector, we perform the required 3-year steering work inspection ourselves. This keeps everything functioning safely and properly for years to come.
