The electrically driven generator is used to control various winches, the bow thruster and related deck equipment. By applying a custom designed manifold, the use of pipes and hoses has been minimized. This drive can be operated from the bridge on the ship, or manually by means of a radio control system. The advantage of this is that the operator can control the winches and deck equipment from any location.
