Hydraulic steering system installation ship wind turbines
Four sets of electrically driven hydraulic redundant (2x 50%) powerpacks for driving the steering gear of a steerable azimuth propulsion thruster. These propulsion propellers are placed on a "Dynamic Positioning" wind turbine installation vessel. These steerable propellers allow the vessel to remain in the correct position independent of currents, wind and wave action. To then hoist wind turbine erection equipment safely and in a controlled manner.

More about this project
The two pump sets both consist of a 99 kW electric motor with variable Linde HPV-02 135cc closed-loop pumps behind it. Both are connected to a central manifold, allowing the pump sets to be independently switched to the closed system. This creates the desired redundancy on the powerpack side. A water/oil plate heat exchanger was installed for cooling. All sets were built, tested and delivered under DNV classification.
